First off my apologies for having an entire summer go by and completely neglecting TERRA FIRMA'S blogsite. Is it really possible that time does in fact fly? That there is in fact the potential for time to have wings, that creates a false sense of a day?. Well yes this has been my reality. Now, the trick is to attempt to slow the time bird down and encourage a more mindful day with savoring moments. I find that the more I spend outdoors the calmer my mind can be, the more present I am. I also have found that the routine of practicing yoga on a regular basis has calmed my mind and strengthened my body and my focus. Allowing each moment in a busy day to be a moment within itself rather then a hectic bundle of experiences that creates chaos. Each thought, each obligation is in fact its own entity and therefore we should be able to stay mindful if we keep this perspective. One thing at a time, one physical endeavor, or one appointment at a time. In fact a day is just a collection of these experiences. The interpretation of the many obligations in a day as being chaotic is truly an unmanaged day. I encourage you and I encourage myself, as the imperfect humans that we are, to truly allow ourselves the patience to take each endeavor mindfully, go on to the next task, with mindfulness, and on and on. We are perfect in our imperfect ways, be kind to yourself, and be patient.
